SeaWorld’s Deep-Sea Adventure Ride Set to Make Waves in 2026

SeaWorld Orlando is diving into new territory with a ride set to open in 2026: SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep.

Announced Wednesday, the attraction will be a first-of-its-kind suspended dark ride that immerses guests in deep-sea exploration. Riders will be guided by the fictional SEA Collective’s Adventure Team aboard a submersible vehicle, traveling through mysterious undersea ecosystems filled with marine life and dynamic environments.

SeaWorld says the ride will combine cutting-edge technology and storytelling to deliver a fully immersive journey beneath the ocean’s surface.

Though an exact opening date hasn’t been announced, Annual Pass members will get early access once it launches in 2026.

This new addition continues SeaWorld’s trend of blending thrills with aquatic themes, promising a unique experience for families and thrill-seekers alike.

Buyers Rejoice: Best Week to Purchase a Home
Is Near

Homebuyers should circle October 12–18 on the calendar—it's the best week of the year to purchase a home, according to Realtor.com’s 2025 Best Time to Buy report.

During this mid-October window, buyers can expect up to 32.6% more listings, 30.6% less competition, and potential savings of over $15,000 on a median-priced home.

Longer time on market, more price reductions, and an influx of new listings create a rare moment of balance in a market that’s favored sellers for years.

Although most U.S. metros align with the national timing, Florida cities like Tampa and Miami are expected to peak later—around December.

This news comes as the Federal Reserve has just cut interest rates, with more reductions expected before year’s end—adding to the buyer advantage.

Experts say it's the most buyer-friendly market in nearly a decade, and this brief window offers a chance to act strategically before conditions tighten again.

Buzz Worthy: Seminole Bee Farms Turns Rescues into Raw Honey Gold

When bees become a nuisance in homes or businesses, Seminole Bee Farms steps in — not to exterminate, but to rescue.

Based in Seminole, Florida, the farm specializes in relocating bees from attics, sheds, and walls to safe hive sites across the Tampa Bay area. There, bees are allowed to thrive while continuing their critical work in pollination.

“It’s about saving the bees, not destroying them,” say the owners. Every rescued hive plays a part in sustaining local ecosystems.

At their storefront on 9012 140th Way, visitors can sample and buy raw and rescue bee honey, along with seasonal and regional varieties.

Beyond just honey, the farm is a hub for education — sharing the story of each hive and the importance of protecting pollinators.

As rescues increase, the farm plans to expand hive sites and honey offerings, ensuring Tampa Bay continues to buzz with purpose.

Pioneers in the Crease: Puppa and Young Look Back on Lightning’s Early Days

Wendell Young and Daren Puppa helped lay the foundation for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s goaltending legacy, sharing memories as part of NHL Goalie Week.

Young made history in 1992, earning the team’s first-ever win in a 7–3 victory over Chicago. Selected in the expansion draft from the Penguins, he became the first player in Lightning history and praised Tampa’s early fans for their support during tough seasons.

Puppa arrived in 1993 and quickly became a fan favorite, recording the franchise’s first 20-win season and holding strong stats through 2000. Known for his composure and consistency, Puppa embraced Tampa as a new beginning and now remains local as a realtor and goalie coach.

Both men highlight the mental toughness and evolution of the position, proud of their roles in helping hockey grow in the Bay Area.

“We didn’t have elite talent, but we had heart,” Puppa said.
