Staying behind on tech trends can be a career killer.

But let’s face it, no one has hours to spare every week trying to stay updated.

That’s why over 200,000 engineers at companies like Google, Meta, and Apple read The Code twice a week.

Here’s why it works:

  • No fluff, just signal – Learn the most important tech news delivered in just two short emails.

  • Supercharge your skills – Get access to top research papers and resources that give you an edge in the industry.

  • See the future first – Discover what’s next before it hits the mainstream, so you can lead, not follow.

Wesley Chapel by the Numbers: Inside a Booming Tampa Bay Suburb

Wesley Chapel has rapidly evolved from a rural outpost into one of Tampa Bay’s fastest-growing communities, now nearing 78,400 residents in 2026. Growth has been fueled by new housing, infrastructure expansion, and proximity to Tampa.

The area skews younger, with a median age of 36.7, and is notably affluent, boasting a median household income of $107,500. Nearly 47.1% of adults hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, reflecting a strong professional workforce.

Diversity continues to rise, with Hispanic residents at ~25%, alongside growing Black and Asian populations. About 18.2% of residents are foreign-born, adding to the community’s multicultural profile.

Homeownership remains high at 76.6%, though rising housing costs—median rent around $2,100—are creating affordability pressures.

Overall, Wesley Chapel stands out as a younger, wealthier, and highly educated suburb, with continued growth expected to shape its infrastructure, schools, and economy in the years ahead.

Tampa Traffic Stop Takes Strange Turn as Driver Hands Over Gift Cards

A late-night traffic stop in Tampa led to a bizarre DUI arrest after a driver was caught going the wrong way and jumping a curb. Deputies stopped Kami Ellis, 52, around 12:30 a.m., noting immediate signs of impairment.

When asked for her license, Ellis instead handed over a credit card, followed by a Barnes & Noble gift card, prompting repeated corrections from the deputy. Body camera footage showed she struggled with basic tasks, including turning off the vehicle and maintaining balance.

Authorities later reported her blood alcohol content measured 0.204 and 0.209, more than twice Florida’s legal limit. Officers said her actions posed a serious risk to other drivers.

Ellis was charged with driving under the influence and released on a $1,000 bond. The incident underscores the dangers of impaired driving and the unpredictable situations law enforcement can encounter during routine stops.

Both teams rank among the conference leaders in stolen bases, setting up an aggressive, fast-paced series. With the all-time matchup nearing 100 meetings, this weekend adds another chapter to a competitive and evenly matched rivalry.
