Investors see ANOTHER return from Masterworks (!!!!)

That’s 6 sales in 7 months. 29 all time. And the performance?

16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8%, net annualized returns on sold works held longer than one year (See all 29 at Masterworks.com)

It’s not from stocks, private equity, or real estate… it’s from contemporary and post war art. Crazy, right?

With Masterworks, you don’t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.

Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*

Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.

As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.

SOF Week Brings Future Warfare Technology to Tampa Waterfront

Special Operations Forces Week is underway at the Tampa Convention Center, drawing military leaders, defense contractors, technology companies and international dignitaries to one of the nation’s largest military conventions.

The annual event highlights the latest advancements in military innovation, including drone technology, combat demonstrations and specialized mission tactics used by U.S. Special Operations Command and allied forces.

According to Col. Robert Hunt of USSOCOM, the week offers the public a chance to see how special operations teams conduct real-world missions alongside international partners.

Attendees can explore exhibits, educational forums and live demonstrations throughout the week. Organizers say demonstrations will feature military freefall operations, fast-roping exercises, combat dive techniques and advanced drone capabilities.

A major public demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday at noon on Tampa’s waterfront, where mock military operations and emerging technologies will be showcased on the water. Officials recommend arriving early due to expected crowds.

Tampa Apparel Brand Engrained Opens First Store at Sparkman Wharf

A fast-growing Tampa apparel company is making the leap from online sales and weekend markets to a permanent retail storefront in downtown Tampa.

Engrained Lifestyle Apparel will open its first brick-and-mortar store at Sparkman Wharf in June, bringing its Tampa-inspired clothing line into one of the city’s busiest entertainment districts. The shop will feature men’s, women’s and youth apparel, along with collections tied to Tampa sports culture, neighborhoods and local landmarks.

Founder Gabriel Santos, a Tampa native and University of South Florida graduate, launched the brand in 2024 and steadily built a following through online sales, farmers markets and community events.

The move highlights a growing trend in Tampa’s retail market, where mixed-use developments like Water Street Tampa are increasingly attracting smaller regional brands instead of relying solely on national retailers.

Sparkman Wharf officials said Engrained reflects the authentic local identity and entrepreneurial energy shaping Tampa’s evolving downtown scene.

BlackSea Technologies Unveils Advanced Drone Boat at SOF Week

A cutting-edge unmanned combat vessel designed for future naval warfare is turning heads during SOF Week 2026 at the Tampa Convention Center waterfront.

Defense company BlackSea Technologies is showcasing its new Comet unmanned surface vessel at Dock 18 during the military convention. The 43-foot vessel is designed to bridge the gap between smaller tactical drone boats and larger unmanned combat craft.

According to the company, Comet can travel at speeds exceeding 45 knots while carrying up to 10,000 pounds of payload, including fuel, weapons systems and advanced sensors.

The vessel is capable of supporting missions such as counter-drone operations, electronic warfare, mine countermeasures, antisubmarine warfare and maritime security patrols.

SOF Week attendees can also view several integrated defense systems onboard, including missile launchers, radar arrays, gyro stabilization technology and a specialized stealth-style exterior wrap designed to improve survivability in contested environments.

Company officials say the platform was built to address both current and emerging military threats in future maritime operations.

How the Rays Became Baseball’s Biggest Surprise

The Rays continue to surprise baseball with a 31-15 record, and the numbers reveal why Tampa Bay has climbed near the top of the standings.

Strong pitching remains the foundation. Rays starters entered the week with a Major League-best 3.03 ERA, led by Shane McClanahan, Drew Rasmussen and newcomer Griffin Jax. Tampa Bay also owns a remarkable 9-1 record in one-run games, showing an ability to close out tight contests.

Offensively, the lineup has delivered consistent production. Yandy Díaz, Jonathan Aranda and Junior Caminero have anchored the offense, combining for power, run production and on-base consistency. Tampa Bay is also making more contact than any team in baseball, posting the league’s lowest whiff rate at 19.4%.

Defensively, the Rays have improved dramatically in the outfield after offseason additions and player development. Combined with elite pitching and timely hitting, Tampa Bay’s balanced approach has turned the Rays into one of baseball’s hottest teams.
