Banksy, METROCON and Dude Perfect Lead a Packed Tampa Bay Weekend

Tampa Bay pet owners are being invited to show off their four-legged family members by submitting photos for a community feature celebrating the region's cutest pets. The public photo campaign encourages residents to upload pictures of their dogs, cats and other beloved companions through an online submission form.

The promotion also highlights Clear the Shelters, a nationwide effort that encourages pet adoption and donations to local animal shelters. Organizers hope the campaign not only showcases adorable pets already living in loving homes but also raises awareness of animals still waiting to be adopted.

Steel-Tipped Trekking Pole Pierces Hiker, But He Refuses Helicopter Rescue

A Montana nurse survived a remarkable mountain accident after a steel-tipped trekking pole pierced beneath his left arm and exited through his back while climbing 12,800-foot Granite Peak, the state's highest summit. David Cifaldi and two companions chose to hike nearly 10 miles and descend about 5,000 feet rather than request an expensive helicopter evacuation after determining the injury had missed vital organs.

Using a Garmin satellite communicator, the group kept local search-and-rescue officials informed while carefully navigating rugged terrain for more than six hours. After reaching the trailhead, friends drove Cifaldi to a clinic before he was transferred to St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, where doctors safely removed the pole.

Cifaldi returned to work just days later and said his medical training, experienced hiking partners and ability to contact rescuers if conditions worsened gave him confidence to complete the extraordinary self-rescue rather than wait on the mountain.

Report: Baker Mayfield Wants Tampa Bay to Be His NFL 'Forever Home'

Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield reportedly wants Tampa Bay to be his "forever home" as contract extension discussions remain on hold during training camp. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee said Mayfield hopes to finish his NFL career with the Buccaneers and that the organization shares that desire.
