GOOD MORNING
Despite TB losing the first 2 games, I don’t think we could give MLB a better series - its been a nailbiter each game. These teams are so evenly matched!

Historic Tampa Bay TV Studio, Home of Dr. Paul Bearer’s Creature Feature, Hits Market for $1.4 Million

A piece of Tampa Bay television history is for sale. The former WTOG-TV Channel 44 headquarters in St. Petersburg has hit the market for $1.4 million, ending nearly six decades of broadcasting operations at the location.

The 21,000-square-foot building at 365 105th Terrace NE once housed studios, editing rooms, and control centers for one of Tampa Bay's most recognizable television stations.

WTOG became a local institution partly through Dr. Paul Bearer's legendary Creature Feature, which entertained generations of viewers with classic horror movies and spooky humor from 1973 to 1995.

Built in 1965, the property includes soundproof studios, specialized electrical systems, and production facilities. However, extensive renovations could challenge potential buyers.

WTOG remains on the air as Tampa Bay 44, but vacated the building in May.

Real estate agents envision possibilities ranging from modern video production studios to creative workspaces or commercial offices.

Tampa Animation Festival Brings 120 Films From 33 Countries to UT for Free

The Tampa Animation Festival returns to the University of Tampa November 5–8, offering four days of free film screenings at the Charlene A. Gordon Theater.

This year's festival features 120 animated films from 33 countries, including student projects, independent shorts, and professional studio productions. Audiences can explore everything from traditional animation to innovative filmmaking techniques.

A major attraction is Brad Schiff, a University of Tampa alumnus and head of animation at LAIKA, the acclaimed studio behind Coraline and ParaNorman. Schiff will participate throughout the weekend, with special screenings of three of his works Thursday through Saturday.

The festival also spotlights Florida filmmakers through its Homegrown short-film showcase, alongside industry panels and networking opportunities for aspiring animators and film enthusiasts.

Admission is free, but advance seat reservations are recommended. Reservations open Monday, October 26, with the complete screening schedule available on the festival's official website.

Tampa Bay's Live Music Scene Rocks Into 2027 With Major Concert Announcements

Classic rock fans can catch Foreigner's acoustic hits show February 16 at Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall. Little Feat's farewell tour arrives at The BayCare Sound in March, joined by Old Crow Medicine Show.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit perform April 25 at The BayCare Sound with Nathaniel Rateliff. Pop favorite Andy Grammer is also announced for the upcoming Taste of Pinellas festival.

Other scheduled performers include Trippie Redd, The Interrupters, Yacht Rock Revue, and Dirty Rotten Imbeciles.

With shows spanning intimate clubs and major venues, Tampa Bay music lovers have plenty of options ahead.

Bucs Defense Runs Wild as Tampa Bay Humiliates Panthers in 30-Point Rout

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers demolished the Carolina Panthers 43-13 Sunday in Charlotte, continuing their remarkable dominance over their NFC South rivals.

Tampa Bay exploded to a 33-6 halftime lead, capitalizing on Carolina's mistakes with touchdowns from its offense and defense. Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey returned a Bryce Young fumble 32 yards for a touchdown, while cornerback Zyon McCollum returned a blocked extra-point attempt for two points.

Running back Bucky Irving scored twice, and Tampa Bay's defense forced four turnovers, including two interceptions. The Panthers managed just 13 points despite entering the contest atop the division.

The victory improved Tampa Bay's record against Carolina to 11-2 in their last 13 meetings. Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has struggled particularly against the Buccaneers, winning just once in seven appearances while absorbing 20 sacks.

The division rivals meet again in Tampa during Week 12, where Carolina hasn't won since 2017.
