Why Your Moisturizer Stops Working
If your moisturizer isn’t working quite like it used to, you’re not alone. As we age, our skin shifts below the surface—losing the collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, and barrier integrity it needs to stay hydrated and firm. This leads to thinner, weaker skin that struggles to retain moisture, no matter how many “hydrating” creams you apply.
But OneSkin’s new OS-01 FACE RICH CREAM is built differently. While most moisturizers sit on the skin’s surface and wash off at the end of the day, OS-01 FACE RICH CREAM works at the cellular level to actually rebuild the density that allows skin to hold onto moisture. It’s powered by a Dual-Phase Hydration System, combining potent bioactive humectants with OneSkin’s age-reversing OS-01 Peptide™ to promote healthier collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production, and fortify the skin barrier. The results: deep, lasting hydration and progressive visible firmness—for resilient skin that keeps up with you.

From Forbes 30 Under 30 to Federal Fraud Conviction: Tampa CEO Faces Prison

A former Tampa technology executive who once appeared on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list has pleaded guilty to wire fraud involving nearly $8 million in investor funds.
Meade Lewis, founder and former CEO of Tampa-based mIQroTech, admitted misleading investors about his startup's financial performance. His company claimed millions in revenue from technology designed to detect oil and gas pipeline leaks.
Federal prosecutors say investor presentations falsely reported $8.7 million in 2020 revenue, when actual revenue was less than $100,000. The company also claimed $6.8 million in annual recurring revenue despite having none.
Twelve investors contributed $7.91 million, receiving no investment returns. Court documents indicate Lewis diverted funds into personal accounts, including money used to purchase a $656,000 Temple Terrace home.
A federal judge accepted his guilty plea and scheduled sentencing for January 13, 2027. Lewis faces up to 20 years in prison and forfeiture of $7.9 million.

Federal Judge Orders Iowa Capitol to Allow Satanic Temple Holiday Event

(probably not this year)
A federal judge has ordered Iowa officials to allow The Satanic Temple to hold a holiday event inside the Iowa State Capitol rotunda, ruling that the group is likely to succeed in its constitutional free speech challenge.
Chief District Judge Stephanie M. Rose directed state administrators to approve the organization's application within seven days. Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird's office says Republican state officials intend to appeal.
The dispute began after Iowa leaders prohibited the group's holiday observances, citing Capitol policies against obscene displays and unwarranted violence. The organization sued in August, alleging religious discrimination and violations of constitutional rights.
The Satanic Temple describes itself as a non-theistic religious organization advocating secularism rather than worshipping Satan.
The Capitol traditionally accommodates Christmas decorations and other religious displays. A previous Satanic Temple installation featuring the goat-headed figure Baphomet was vandalized three years ago, intensifying controversy over religious expression.content
A surprising fact about religious holiday displays in government buildings: The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that a Christmas nativity scene can be unconstitutional on government property, while another government-sponsored display featuring religious symbols can be constitutional.
The difference isn't necessarily the religious symbol itself. It can depend on where the display appears, what surrounds it, and whether the government appears to be endorsing a particular religion.
In the landmark 1989 Supreme Court case County of Allegheny v. ACLU, justices struck down a nativity scene inside a Pittsburgh courthouse but permitted an 18-foot Hanukkah menorah displayed alongside a 45-foot Christmas tree outside another government building.
The fascinating takeaway: The Constitution does not automatically prohibit religious holiday displays on public property. The legal circumstances matter, although Supreme Court doctrine has evolved since 1989.
This helps explain why holiday displays at state capitols can become major constitutional disputes.

Tampa Jazz Legend Belinda Womack Brings Family Christmas Concert to Stageworks Theatre

Beloved Tampa Bay jazz vocalist Belinda Womack will bring three family members together for a special holiday performance at Stageworks Theatre on November 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Titled “A Womack Family Christmas,” the one-night concert features Womack alongside her daughter Ericka, son Derek and daughter-in-law Aili. Audiences can expect Christmas classics, soulful favorites and rich family harmonies.
A longtime fixture in Tampa Bay's jazz scene, Womack has entertained local audiences for decades with her band Kool Reflektions and performances alongside prominent regional musicians.
The holiday celebration launches four planned Womack concerts during Stageworks' 2026–27 season, part of its Act 2 Series featuring special entertainment beyond traditional theater productions.
General admission tickets cost $45. VIP tables are available for $150 for two guests or $300 for four, including wine or champagne. Admission is also included with Stageworks SPARK PASS memberships, which provide access to additional seasonal performances.

Rays Plan to Keep $20 Million Ace Drew Rasmussen for Another World Series Run

The Tampa Bay Rays intend to keep ace Drew Rasmussen as their starting rotation leader in 2027, signaling a commitment to another championship run following their World Series loss to Milwaukee.
President of baseball operations Erik Neander said the organization has every intention of retaining Rasmussen, despite speculation that his substantial salary could make him a trade candidate.
The Rays recently exercised Rasmussen's $20 million club option, which would make him the highest-paid player for a single season in franchise history.
Although Tampa Bay traded expensive ace Tyler Glasnow following the 2023 season, Neander emphasized that circumstances are different today.
With new ownership led by Patrick Zalupski, a relatively affordable roster and plans for a new ballpark in 2029, the organization believes it can retain its pitching star.
Most of the American League championship roster is expected to return, positioning Tampa Bay for another potential World Series appearance.
