Keep your finger on the Pulse!
GOOD MORNING!
I’d like to share with you a new, useful link: a custom Google Map to all Florida beaches just to make it easier to locate them when planning an excursion, or to share with family / friends looking to plan a Florida visit.
It is, like this newsletter, FREE! The short link to the site is: pxl.to/flbeaches
In case you’re wondering where this idea came from, let me share with you my vision for an office sometime in the future (in my dreams, but on my vision board):

What would your “dream” office look like?
Have a great day!
Dr Ted

Closing Pandora's Box: Florida's Bold Move Against Minors' Social Media Use

Jeopardy website turns “matchmaker”
Florida lawmakers have revised their approach to restricting minors' access to social media, presenting a new bill to Governor Ron DeSantis that seems more likely to gain approval.
The revised legislation aims to prohibit social media accounts for children under 14 and mandates parental consent for users aged 15 and 16. This move follows a recent veto by Governor DeSantis of a more stringent proposal, which sought to bar all minors under 16 from social media platforms.
The bill, prioritized by Republican Speaker Paul Renner, is designed to combat the documented harms of social media on youth, such as exposure to online predators, cyberbullying, and various mental health issues.
While similar laws face legal challenges in other states, Florida's bill uniquely targets the addictive elements of social media, like notification alerts and auto-play videos, to withstand legal scrutiny.
Jaws in Tampa Bay: Tracking Rose, the Juvenile Great White Shark

In the Gulf of Mexico, close to the Tampa Bay area, a juvenile great white shark named Rose has been tracked, stirring local interest.
This 10-foot, 5-inch shark, weighing around 600 pounds, was pinpointed by OCEARCH, a global organization dedicated to the study and tracking of marine animals. Their mission is to gather vital data to help restore the ocean's equilibrium and abundance.
Tagged back in October 2020 in Nova Scotia, Rose seems to have a pattern, returning to Florida's west coast around the same time as the previous year. Her presence underscores the importance of ongoing marine research and the fascinating migratory patterns of these majestic ocean dwellers.

Elevate Your Air Fest Game: Insider Tips for Swift Access and Easy Exit!

Navigating the buzz of Tampa Bay Air Fest with ease involves some savvy planning, especially when it comes to beating the notorious traffic and parking woes.
A transformative tip—borrowed from a seasoned attendee—suggests bicycling as a stress-free way to access the event. This approach not only skirts the gridlock but also secures a prime parking spot right by the entrance, enhancing your experience by focusing on the excitement of the show rather than the frustration of the journey.
Before attending, preparing essentials like sunscreen, hats, and water, alongside entertainment for kids, is key to a smooth experience.
The suggestion to bike to the event from nearby parking areas transforms the day from a logistical headache into a leisurely adventure, allowing attendees to enjoy the full spectacle, including the anticipated performance of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, without the pressure of beating post-event traffic.
