Keep your finger on the Pulse!
GOOD MORNING
A slight change to the format of the Local Business Spotlight. The first day of a multiple day run will be in full on this Home Page. On the following days, it will be split into 2 pages, the second page accessible via Button to open to it.
I had to do this to not lose story space when the spotlight subscription runs for a week. (I’m still working on how to return readers to home page of the newsletter - the “how” may change a time or two until perfected).

Madeline Brame Slams DA Bragg Over Lenient Plea Deals in Son's Murder Case

Though not a local case, this mother makes a powerful case for how her son’s case was mishandled
Madeline Brame, a national victims' rights advocate from New York, spoke on the second day of the Republican National Convention (RNC), where she sharply criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for his handling of her son's murder case.
Brame's son, U.S. Army Sgt. Hason Correa, was fatally stabbed in Harlem in 2018. Four individuals were convicted of his murder, but Bragg has been accused of attempting to negotiate lenient plea deals for them after his election.
During her speech at the RNC, which focused on law enforcement and crime, Brame expressed her frustration and anger towards the convicted murderers, calling them "homicidal maniacs" and "career criminals" who should not have been free on New York's streets.
In her impassioned speech, Brame highlighted the struggles of families awaiting justice, stating, "There are people that have been waiting for justice for years, and they've never received it."
Editor’s Note: If you didn’t watch Ms. Brame’s impassioned speech on Tues night at the RNC, which was powerful, you can watch an interview of her at the link below. (the sound is not great).

Discovering Her Passion: Neidre Hines, Lutz's Trusted Realtor®
In Lutz, Florida, Neidre Hines stands out for her exceptional, personalized real estate services. With over seven years of experience, Neidre has become a trusted guide for home buyers, sellers, and investors.
Her journey into real estate began unexpectedly. One evening, while searching for a discount meal online, Neidre found a coupon for a discounted real estate license class. “I bought it out of curiosity, thinking I’d learn to outsmart real estate agents,” she recalls. Instead, the class ignited a passion for real estate. With her daughter off to university, she saw an opportunity for a new career. By December 21, 2017, Neidre earned her license, and by August 2018, she had sold her first house, marking the birth of "Your Tampa Home Girl."

Neidre’s philosophy is centered on client education. “I believe a home to be the largest purchase a person makes in life,” she says. “It’s my responsibility to make sure buyers and sellers are confident throughout the transaction process.” Her clients receive the knowledge they need to make informed decisions, ensuring they feel secure and empowered.
A particularly striking and little-known fact about sleep and exercise is that regular physical activity can significantly improve sleep quality by promoting deeper and more restorative sleep stages. Studies have shown that individuals who engage in consistent exercise routines experience longer periods of slow-wave sleep, also known as deep sleep, which is crucial for physical recovery and overall health.
Additionally, exercise helps regulate the body's internal clock, or circadian rhythm, making it easier to fall asleep and wake up at regular times. This benefit is not only limited to intense workouts; even moderate activities like walking or light jogging can positively impact sleep patterns.
It's important to note that exercising too close to bedtime might have the opposite effect for some people, making it harder to fall asleep. HOWEVER, this next article will begin to challenge that advice:

Short Evening Exercises Found to Improve Sleep Duration

Researchers from the University of Otago discovered that short bursts of light activity in the evening can improve sleep quality, challenging the idea that exercise before bed should be avoided.
The study, published in BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine, involved participants completing two evening sessions: one with prolonged sitting and another with three-minute activity breaks every half hour. Participants who took activity breaks slept 30 minutes longer on average.
Jennifer Gale, a PhD candidate in Human Nutrition, highlighted the risks of prolonged sitting, such as increased diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
The study tested light exercises like chair squats, calf raises, and standing knee raises, which can be done without interrupting daily activities. Dr. Meredith Peddie, the study's primary investigator, emphasized the importance of regular movement and suggested that similar benefits could be achieved through walking or dancing at home. This study suggests a potential need to update current sleep guidelines.
