Tampa Teen Tinkers with Typewriters: From Hobbies to Collecting

Jack Armstrong, 19, has spent the last seven years collecting and restoring antique typewriters. His business, Tampa Typewriter, features over 200 machines. Armstrong is fascinated by the mechanics and history behind typewriters, with some dating back over a century.
Armstrong sells more common typewriters to fund his collection of rare models, one of which was gifted to him by actor Tom Hanks.
After college, Armstrong plans to expand both his business and collection, continuing his passion for typewriters.

Crews have now moved equipment north from Paradise Grille to 15th Avenue, with the final phase stretching from 16th to 22nd Avenue - much of the beach remains open.

Pasco County Student Arrested After
School Threats

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has arrested a River Ridge High School student for making online threats targeting multiple schools.
These schools included River Ridge, Mitchell, Gulf, Fivay, and Hudson High Schools, as well as Hudson Academy and River Ridge Middle School. The student is charged with making written threats to commit a mass shooting, disruption of school functions, and violating probation.
In addition to these threats, the student impersonated school officials and falsely informed students that someone had brought a firearm on campus, claiming the school would be locked down. These false claims were made in an effort to avoid class, according to the student’s confession.
This incident marks the fifth arrest related to school threats in Pasco County over the past two weeks.
Authorities have received over 100 threat-related calls during this period, though no active threats currently exist.
… even jokes involving threats can lead to serious legal consequences, including arrest.
Hillsborough Man Arrested in Major Fentanyl Trafficking Bust

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested Ryan Edward Starr, 38, for trafficking enough fentanyl to potentially kill over 51,500 people. The arrest occurred after deputies performed a traffic stop near Interstate 75 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
During the stop, Star admitted to past methamphetamine use and had a torch in his possession. A K9 unit alerted deputies to drugs inside the vehicle, where they discovered a Springfield Hellcat pistol, a digital scale, marijuana, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.
Starr now faces multiple charges, including armed trafficking of fentanyl …
One astonishing and lesser-known fact about fentanyl is that there are over 800 known fentanyl analogs, each with slight variations in their chemical structure. This immense variety stems from fentanyl's highly adaptable molecular framework, which allows chemists to modify its structure to create new analogs with different potencies, durations of effect, and pharmacological properties.
