Unprecedented Flooding Continues in Ridge Manor After Hurricane Milton

Ridge Manor, Florida, is grappling with severe flooding as the Withlacoochee River continues to rise days after Hurricane Milton. Entire neighborhoods are underwater, with many homes and cars submerged. In one area near Cortez Blvd and Lakewood Drive, residents can only access their properties by boat.
Local resident Jason Brazinski described the devastation as unimaginable, noting that while much of Florida has moved on from the hurricane, Ridge Manor remains in crisis. "It's just a long recovery process," he said.
Brazinski, who has a background in water rescues, joined others in using boats to help residents retrieve undamaged belongings. Despite their efforts, nearly all of the 100 homes in the community are surrounded by several feet of water, with no signs of the flooding receding.
"This is truly unprecedented," Brazinski emphasized, recalling that even past hurricanes didn’t bring such severe flooding.

Florida's Casa Monica Resort Named Among America's Most Haunted Hotels

The Casa Monica Resort & Spa in St. Augustine, Florida, has earned a spot on the 2024 list of "Most Haunted Hotels of America," compiled by Historic Hotels of America. The annual list features hotels known for ghostly sightings and eerie experiences, where guests and staff have shared stories of unexplained phenomena.
Casa Monica, a historic landmark in the nation’s oldest city, joins the ranks of other famously haunted hotels across the U.S., such as the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem and the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. Reports of mysterious occurrences, such as flickering lights and sudden temperature drops, contribute to its reputation.
Other historic hotels recognized for their hauntings include the Jekyll Island Club Resort in Georgia and New Orleans' Hotel Monteleone. The oldest hotel on the list, Concord's Colonial Inn in Massachusetts, dates back to 1716 and is rumored to host spirits from the Revolutionary War.
For travelers seeking a spooky stay, these historic hotels offer more than just a room—they offer a haunting experience.

Tampa Bay Set for Trenches Battle Against Ravens on MNF

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear up for a tough Monday Night Football clash against the Baltimore Ravens in Week Seven. With the NFL's top rushing offense and defense, the Ravens will test the Bucs’ physicality under the prime-time spotlight.
Fresh off a 51-27 win over the Saints, Tampa Bay dominated the trenches, rushing for 220 yards in the second half. Pro Bowl tackle Tristan Wirfs stressed the team's readiness for another gritty battle, given last week's success in New Orleans.
Defensively, the Bucs have tallied a league-high 15 sacks over the past three games. The return of Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey has energized the pass rush, with Kancey contributing a sack in his season debut.
As the national audience watches, the Buccaneers aim to "fight under the lights" and make a statement against the Ravens.
Teammates Brawl on Sideline, Spark Bulls' Comeback Victory

Tensions boiled over on the South Florida Bulls' sideline during Saturday's game against the UAB Blazers. In the third quarter, after UAB extended their lead to 19-7, freshman defensive end Dinellson Exume and senior linebacker Jamie Pettway clashed, exchanging punches despite teammates trying to separate them.
The incident began with a verbal spat that escalated quickly, as Exume threw the first punch, followed by a quick counter from Pettway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and senior players intervened to break up the skirmish.
Ironically, the sideline altercation seemed to ignite a spark in the Bulls. South Florida rallied with a 28-6 run to secure a 35-25 comeback victory, improving their season record to 3-4.
It remains to be seen whether the two players have mended fences after the heated exchange, but the Bulls will take the win.
