’Twas the Day After Halloween

’Twas the day after Halloween, and all through the street,
Not a creature was stirring—not one single trick-or-treat!
The candy bags lay on the floor with no care,
Their owners sprawled out, lost in sugar-dazed stares.

The pumpkins were slumping, the ghosts were askew,
Some wore soggy hats, others with gum stuck like glue.
And as dawn’s first light fell on Maplewood Lane,
A breeze rolled through, showing last night’s remains.

Yes, streams of white paper dressed trees top to base,
Leftovers of some phantom TP-race.
In yards, candy wrappers now fluttered as “lawn,”
With a few wayward chocolate stains scattered at dawn.

But there stood Old Wilson, grumbling by his oak,
His broom waving high as he muttered and spoke,
“These kids think they’re clever! But every year,
They leave a ghost town in my yard—spooky ‘souvenir’!”

And as we slipped away, with a wink and a smile,
We knew Halloween would come back—with style!

Ray Jay to Host TikTok Sensation Savannah Bananas This March

The wildly popular Savannah Bananas, known for their TikTok antics, have moved their highly anticipated game from Tropicana Field to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, scheduled for March 15, 2025, due to Hurricane Milton. Fans can expect an electrifying night as the Bananas face off against their rivals, the Party Animals, and take on two additional teams: the Firefighters and the new Texas Tailgaters.

This game is part of their extensive 39-game Banana Ball tour, taking the sport’s quirkiest format across the nation. Featuring a two-hour time limit, unique rules like stealing first base, and fan-caught foul balls counting as outs, Banana Ball offers a wildly different baseball experience.

Fans already on the Lottery List for Tampa are automatically entered, while new fans can join until tomorrow, November 1. With over 3 million followers on TikTok, the Bananas’ Tampa stop promises a memorable night for baseball enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Cybercriminals Exploit Browser Cookies to Bypass MFA, FBI Warns

The FBI’s Atlanta Division warns that cybercriminals are stealing browser cookies to bypass multifactor authentication (MFA) and gain unauthorized access to email accounts. “Remember-Me” cookies allow users to stay logged in without re-entering usernames, passwords, or MFA credentials, sometimes for up to 30 days.

When hackers steal these cookies—often through phishing links or malicious websites—they can access accounts without the need for MFA, making cookie theft an increasingly popular tactic for cybercriminals.

The FBI advises regularly clearing browser cookies, avoiding suspicious links, and being cautious with “Remember Me” options on login pages. Checking recent device login activity and reporting breaches to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov are also recommended steps to enhance security.

Break Free from Emotional Vampires: Tips from Tampa Therapist

In a recent interview with Bloom’s Gayle Guyardo and Brody Wooddell, Tampa-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor Dr. Gina Midyett shared insights on modern dating fears.

Addressing issues like ghosting, emotional exhaustion, and commitment anxiety, Dr. Midyett offers advice on overcoming these barriers to help people find healthy, meaningful relationships.

She describes “ghosting” as a haunting experience that often leaves individuals feeling vulnerable and doubtful. To combat this, she recommends focusing on self-worth to rebuild confidence. When dealing with “emotional vampires,” or those who drain others’ energy, Dr. Midyett suggests learning to recognize early signs of imbalance. For those fearing commitment, she advises gradual trust-building rather than rushing. Lastly, she highlights the importance of self-healing to free oneself from past relationship “curses.” Her guidance empowers individuals to approach dating with resilience, aiming for connections unburdened by past fears.
