Legacy Wiregrass Ranch: The Future Downtown of Wesley Chapel

Pasco County commissioners unanimously approved a $50 million property tax rebate agreement to support Legacy Wiregrass Ranch, a transformative downtown project in Wesley Chapel.
Spanning 30 acres north of State Road 56, the development will feature 150,000 square feet of office space, a 150-room hotel with conference space, entertainment venues, retail, restaurants, and a pedestrian-friendly design with structured parking. Plans also include an eventual high-rise apartment complex, a food hall, and green spaces integrated with walking trails.
The project aims to define Wesley Chapel’s downtown, generating $575 million annually for the county, creating over 7,000 jobs, and elevating the local economy. Commissioners emphasized opportunities for home ownership alongside rental options.
Developers cite significant investments in life sciences and medical industries, highlighted by Orlando Health's upcoming hospital anchoring the site. Officials view this project as a model for smart, mixed-use urban growth in Pasco County.

Shake Shack Hits the Gas: Drive-Thru Debuts
in Wesley Chapel

Shake Shack fans in Florida can celebrate as the state’s first drive-thru location is set to open this Friday at 25600 Sierra Center Blvd. in Wesley Chapel. While the popular burger chain already has 22 locations across Florida, none previously offered a drive-thru option.
The new Wesley Chapel Shake Shack will cater to all preferences, featuring both a convenient drive-thru and indoor seating for dine-in customers. Known for its famous Shack burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and creamy milkshakes, Shake Shack is also offering limited-time holiday shakes, including the Chocolate Yule Log and Christmas Cookie Shake.
This marks the third Shake Shack in the Tampa Bay area, with the first opening in 2021. Customers are encouraged not to leave without trying the signature ShackSauce, a fan-favorite addition to their meals.
American Cookie Co. Expands to Wesley Chapel with Pop-Up and Delivery

Tampa’s beloved American Cookie Co. is expanding with a new daily pop-up location at the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, offering local delivery and catering options. Known for its thick, fresh-baked cookies with decadent flavors, the bakery’s expansion arrives just in time for the bustling holiday season.
The pop-up, located across from Barnes & Noble, is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fans can also pre-order cookies for pickup, enjoy local DoorDash delivery, or have them shipped nationwide via the bakery’s website.
American Cookie Co., a homegrown favorite, continues to operate its South Tampa Bakery Box window on Saturdays and partners with Flying Cattle Meat Market.
With favorites like Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake cookies, this local gem makes indulgent treats easy to savor anywhere.

Tampa’s FairyTail Pet Care Lands $75K “Shark Tank” Deal with Barbara Corcoran

Tampa-based FairyTail Pet Care, a wedding pet care startup, secured a $75,000 investment from Barbara Corcoran on Shark Tank in exchange for 22% equity. The episode aired on October 20, marking a significant milestone for the company as it pushes toward national franchising.
Founded in 2015 by Kelly Nova and Ilana Karcinski, FairyTail Pet Care specializes in helping couples include their pets in weddings, offering planning, logistics, and care services for furry friends on the big day.
The co-founders specifically targeted Corcoran for her proven expertise in franchising, which aligns with their goal to expand the business across the country.
“Barbara was our ideal shark,” Nova said, emphasizing the importance of franchising to their long-term growth strategy. With a growing market for pet-friendly weddings, FairyTail Pet Care aims to meet demand nationwide, ensuring pets can share in life’s most special moments.
