Daniella Mass Brings Her Operatic Flair to New Tampa Performing Arts Center

Colombian singing sensation Daniella Mass is set to captivate audiences at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Known for her exceptional four-octave vocal range and linguistic versatility, Mass rose to fame with performances alongside Andrea Bocelli and an appearance on "America's Got Talent."

The matinee concert is part of the center's popular "unplugged" series, offering a stripped-down showcase of Mass's talent. Her repertoire includes selections from her signature "Liri pop" genre, blending operatic originals with traditional favorites.

Tickets for the event remain available, with prices starting at just $15.

Daiso Brings Japanese Bargains to Tampa with February Grand Opening

Daiso, the popular Japanese bargain store chain, is set to open its first Florida location in Tampa next month. Located at 15702 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Northdale Promenade shopping plaza, the store will officially open its doors on February 1, 2025.

To celebrate its grand opening, Daiso will offer exclusive goodie bags to the first 100 customers who spend $30 or more at the store each day during the event.

Daiso is known for its extensive range of products, from Japanese-inspired home decor and stationery to Asian-style snacks and unique knick-knacks.

While the store markets itself as a “100-yen” shop (equivalent to $0.65), most items are priced closer to $1.75, with some specialty products costing up to $15.25. Prices are displayed in yen to create an authentic Japanese shopping experience.

Bride Hosts Wedding Ceremony for Grandmother in Hospice Care, Goes Viral

A Brooksville bride’s tribute to her dying grandmother has touched hearts worldwide, with a TikTok video of the moment nearing one million views.

Gianna Huber held a surprise wedding ceremony for her 77-year-old grandmother, Joann Huber, after learning she had only weeks to live due to terminal cancer.

Joann, overjoyed by Gianna’s engagement, was placed in hospice care just months later. With the wedding still four months away, Gianna and her family organized an intimate preview ceremony at Joann’s home. Gianna walked down the aisle in her wedding gown, surrounded by family, giving Joann a front-row seat.

Joann passed away two weeks after the special day. Gianna honored her on her wedding day by wearing two rings Joann had gifted her. “It felt like she wasn’t missing my wedding,” Gianna said of the emotional tribute.

Can Green Tea Help Prevent Cognitive Decline? New Research Suggests It Might

Drinking green tea may help protect your brain as you age, according to new research. A study in the Nature Portfolio Journal Science of Food found that older adults in Japan who drank 600–1500 ml of green tea daily had fewer brain lesions. These lesions are linked to dementia and other memory problems.

Green tea contains antioxidants, like catechins and EGCG, which fight damage in the brain. They also reduce inflammation and may block harmful proteins that can lead to Alzheimer’s disease. However, the study found that green tea was less effective for people with depression or a genetic risk for dementia (the ApoE ε4 gene).

Coffee, another popular drink, did not show the same brain benefits as green tea in this study.
