Wesley Chapel Students Debut Student-Built
Solar Race Car
It all began in Ronnie Pittman’s intro-to-engineering class at North Tampa Christian Academy, where students learned welding, fabrication, cutting metal and electrical work—skills they used to build a solar-powered car entirely from scratch.
“All the welds—99% of them—along with the design and wiring, were done by the students,” Pittman explained.
Named “Nemo,” the car reaches up to 50 mph and cost approximately $7,000. Though there’s still finishing work, it’ll be racing other high school teams next month at Texas Motor Speedway.
Senior Ian Degressi, returning from last year’s Solar Car Challenge—where he drove in a 650-mile, four-day race—shared his excitement, recalling both the thrill and a crash that flipped the vehicle during testing.
With this level of innovation and perseverance, Nemo is ready to shine, weather permitting.

Sage Healthspan Debuts Secure, AI-Powered Preventative Health Tool

Sage Healthspan has launched a privacy-first health app on Apple’s App Store, aiming to transform routine lab work into meaningful wellness insights. Unlike many health platforms, Sage uses on-device AI, keeping all data local and secure.
The app interprets blood work, visualizes trends, and offers personalized wellness suggestions—from supplements to follow-up testing. It covers key health areas like cardiometabolic markers, thyroid function, inflammation, and nutrient levels.
Users can upload lab results via photos or files and even order advanced biomarker tests directly through the app. This model aligns with the shift toward “Medicine 3.0”—focused on prevention, personalization, and patient empowerment.
Sage’s approach is especially timely, as most patients struggle to understand lab data and physicians have limited time during visits. The company’s mission is to bridge that gap while maintaining HIPAA-compliant data security.

Tom Brady, Sydney Sweeney Spotted Mingling at Bezos Wedding Bash

Former NFL star Tom Brady and actress Sydney Sweeney made headlines after reportedly spending time together at Jeff Bezos’ wedding this week, according to TMZ. The lavish event, hosted at The Gritti Palace, drew a glittering guest list, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, and the Kardashians.
Sources described Sweeney as the “center of attention” for single men at the celebration—Brady included. The two were seen chatting and mingling, though no romantic details have been confirmed.
Brady, 47, has kept a relatively low profile in his personal life since finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen in 2022. Sweeney, 27, has been in the spotlight after starring in Anyone But You and has faced her own share of dating speculation.
While the tone of the gathering remained light, the interactions fueled speculation about Brady’s return to the dating scene.

Wander Franco Convicted in Dominican Republic, MLB Future Uncertain
Former Rays shortstop Wander Franco, 24, was found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor by a three-judge panel and received a two-year suspended prison sentence. The conviction follows a relationship with a 14‑year‑old girl in late 2022 and early 2023.
Although Franco was acquitted of charges related to exploitation and trafficking, the verdict, rooted in testimony from 31 witnesses, could prevent him from obtaining a U.S. work visa, thereby possibly costing him the remaining $164 million of his $182 million contract.
His legal team plans to appeal, and the case could move to higher courts within five days once the written decision is issued. Meanwhile, MLB says its investigation continues under its Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.
In parallel, the girl’s mother was sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking, and Franco faces a separate firearm-possession charge in the Dominican Republic.
